An estimated 10-30% of people who develop COVID-19 have illness symptoms lingering for weeks to months, and some more than a year in duration. This presentation will briefly review the history of other post-viral syndromes, explore data emerging about “Long COVID, and discuss common comorbid conditions and the possible relationship to myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS).

Brayden P Yellman, MD is a board-certified physician in internal medicine and rheumatology. He completed a BS in biology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and a Doctor of Medicine at University of Texas in Houston. He completed a residency at Exempla Saint Joseph in Denver, CO, and a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Joining Bateman Horne in 2019, Yellman has dedicated his work to provider education and meticulously evaluating and treating patients with ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, Long COVID, autonomic dysfunctions, mast cell activation, and other post-viral conditions.
