Interpreting CXRs is an essential skill for all providers.
A fundamental review of reading CXRs. The lecture starts with the basics and moves on to diagnosing pneumonia, heart failure, pneumothorax, abdominal free air, pneumomediastinum and more.
An emphasis is placed on proper positioning of central lines and ETT placement. The lecture teaches a method that makes reading a CXR easy.

Dr. Ray is triple boarded in Anesthesia, Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He is army trained and completed his Masters in Anesthesia from the US Army/Texas Wesleyan program and his doctorate degree (DNAP) from Texas Wesleyan University. He completed his Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Boston-Mass and Emergency Medicine program at West Virginia University. He has 30 years’ experience providing anesthesia and 12 years of family medicine and emergency medicine experience. Dr. Ray is especially interested in trauma and tactical medicine. He retired after eleven years on law enforcement tactical teams providing medical support. Dr. Ray currently provides emergency medicine and anesthesia services in Montana.
